I am a neurotherapy assistant in the neurotherapy practice of Ellen Shaw-Smith, LICSW, BCN at Wellspring Integrative Neurotherapy. I overseeing Nexalin Transcranial Stimulation and pIR HEG. I trained in the use of pIR HEG in 2014 with Dr. Jeffrey Carmen after seeing the impressive results some people were experiencing with this type of neurofeedback. I was excited to subsequently add Nexalin to my repertoire, an FDA accepted treatment for anxiety, depression and insomnia with significant implications for a broad range of affective and attentional issues.
In my earlier years I earned a BA in English with an emphasis in Psychology. After receiving my AAS in Registered Nursing and my CNA credential, my enduring interest in behavioral health brought me to the field of neurofeedback. I work with a broad range of clients of all ages, with particular interest in assisting those with a history of trauma, and people on the Autistic Spectrum. I also have an affinity for working with seniors.
I oversee all my sessions with an eye to the comfort of each client and the effectiveness of my treatment delivery. My work is done in close consultation with Ellen and my team colleague Ginger. Each day at brings new experiences in supporting and witnessing the effects of neurotherapy. I am gratified to be part of the evolving field of neurofeedback and neurotherapy, while working from the client-centered, whole person focus we are committed to.

I have worked across the age span in a variety of mental health settings, both before and after receiving my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2011. I have experience working with people suffering from a range of emotional difficulties, attentional problems, addictions and trauma.
In 2013 I trained in both EEG Neuroefeedback with Dr. Ed Hamlin, and in pIR HEG Neurofeeback with Dr. Jeffrey Carmen. Most recently I added Nexalin, Transcranial Electronic Stimulation to the list of neurofeedback and neuromodulation modalities I practice. I am excited and committed to my work on the team at Wellspring Integrative Neurotherapy. The range of clients we serve continues to build my expertise and increase my enthusiasm for this work. I am gratified to see the positive changes neurofeedback has brought to my clients’ lives. I believe that neurotherapy allows people greater access to increased health and well-being at a level beyond what is possible with traditional psychotherapy alone.
With my colleague Carol, I work in close consultation with Ellen Shaw-Smith, LICSW, BCN. As a team we provide client centered, holistically oriented, neuro-therapeutic care to children, adolescents, adults and seniors.
I look forward to meeting and serving you further as you explore the benefits of neurotherapy.
